Last day on the Ongivinuk

Our friends Derek and Alex are visiting from a little place north of Anchorage. We spent the last 6 days on a raft floating the Ongivinuk River. We're going to stay around D'ham for a couple of days and regroup and then head up the Nush to go king salmon fishing. Scroll down to the bottom and go up to enjoy the pictures in chronological order. Click on the pictures for a more detailed look.

Alex, our co-pilot on our return flight home.

The view from above of the river we had just floated.

We had one really warm day on our trip that melted a lot of the snow still remaining in the mountains. As a result, the water level rose the last few nights we camped. We awoke to our kitchen area underwater this morning. Check out the first picture in this post to see what it looked like the night before.

Great photos!! I'm going to miss the regular updates when you're out of internet range at the salmon tower! That means you'll need to do an extra long post after your return :) :)

Sweet. Looks like Alex was a better copilot than I had on my trip back from Dillingham. : )
