A fluke?
On Saturday Jackson said poopy while we were changing him. He was not poopy. We asked him if he wanted to go potty (seriously not a fan of that word) on the frog and he said yes. We put him on the frog and he went pee! We gave him a chocolate chip and clapped uproariously! Today while I was going to the bathroom Jackson came in and attempted to pull down his pants. I asked him if he needed to use the potty. He repeated potty and he sat down and immediately went pee! Now I haven't read any books on this topic and really thought it was going to be awhile until we were at this point, but perhaps he's ready to do it! Any suggestions on books/resources for potty training? We're pretty tickled that he may be ready to ditch the diapers.

That is awesome! At least he is trying. That would be nice to be done with the diapers, good luck!!
I was reading about the "naked and $75 dollar" method. Living in a house with little to no carpet would make it "naked and $5" I hope. But anyway, we read that it takes 3-5 days of sometimes frustrating work but that it's really fast and good.... We just bought a potty too, but are thinking of waiting 'til summer.
"Diaper Free Before Three" was by far my favorite on the subject. Opal wants to potty train now, she's doing similar feats, at 19 months (girls are so advanced) but I am seriously not ready to make the commitment.
