I was suppose to be at a fancy dinner with D tonight. However, when we were getting the kids ready something unfortunate was discovered in M's hair. Now we knew it would likely happen at some point given that we're both teachers and have two kids. It's happened now though. I just spent the last two and a half hours going through M's hair. D is at the fancy dinner, but tomorrow he'll get to go through my hair. This was no treat. Luckily our kids love shows. They just watched two straight hours of Sophia the First. Hopefully most of them are gone. I've got the washer and dryer going and all the stuffed animals are in quarantine. I suppose it's never a good time to get lice, but the last 18 days of the school year make two and a half hours of hair combing not the preferred activity. I guess I am relieved that she's much more amiable sitting for this amount of time compared to had it occurred even a year before.
On a side note, Post-A-Day May is coming up!

We just got told a couple days ago at E's school that one of her classmates had head lice. I immediately went out and bought Ladibugs Mint Spray in hopes that it might prevent her from getting it ( apparently they don't like the smell of mint, tea tree oil, or lavender). She is only two coat hooks away from the other student :-). If she does get it I guess I will be calling you since I have no idea how to get it out!
I'm sorry. My M had this when she was in preschool too. No fun to deal with, especially with her thick thick hair. We did the 3 hour comb out every night in front of the TV too! Luckily she was the only one in the family that we found them on. Yuck. Hoping you caught it early and it isn't too much to get rid of the little buggers!!
Makes my head itch just reading about it! Hope you're in the clear:).
