Jack is definitely an early riser. We've had wake up times as early as 4:30 a.m. for weeks upon end. He's now regularly sleeping until 5:30 a.m. We'd still like to see him get a little more sleep. I mean come on it's VERY important for his development! Okay, I guess it's also nice when we catch a few more winks of sleep, too! Anyway, I'd heard about kid clocks that help them learn when it's okay to get up. We got this one pictured below. It glows green when it's 6 a.m. It's been a couple of weeks, but Jack has learned to stay in bed until 6 a.m. Sometimes he wakes up and calls for us and all we have to do is go in and ask him if the clock is green. He looks and then lays back down--sometimes until 6:45. That's almost 7!!! I also just love it when he says "Green! Git up!" That's how he says get right now.

That's awesome! I'll have to remember that one in case I have an early rising 2-year old in a couple years!
Can I use it on an early-rising 7-month old:)?
Great idea! Hayley has been sleeping in until 7 or so on the weekends, it is so nice to get that extra sleep!!
That never would have worked with Dan...but maybe we would have figured out sooner that he's color blind!
That is an awesome clock and what smart parents he has for finding it.
