We saw lots of animals in Denali, but by far I think my kids are still the most exciting of all. So there are a few Denaliesk pics and far more pics of kids.
Our first night in Denali we had lasagna! Gotta love camping in a camper with an oven!
Riding in the bus should seem mundane and safe, but check out these drops offs! You can only drive into Denali so far with your car, then you need to continue on with the park service buses. There's one special weekend every year that you can put your name in for to be drawn for special access in your own car all the way to the end of the road. I'm doing that as I write this :)
Some wildlife...
M entertains herself in on the bus!
All tuckered out!
Evidently it runs in the family.
Supposedly only 30% of park visitors see Denali. We've lucked out and are two for two with our visits.
D and I had a special day of hiking all by ourselves while G and G took care of the kiddos back at camp.
Snowball fights in June!
Dirty camping kid!
Clean camping kid!
We also went to Whittier. Whittier is notable because it is kind of a hidden city. It was created during WWII to be a hidden port. To get there you travel a single lane road 2.5 miles through a tunnel through a mountain!
We took a boat ride to a glacier! He looks like quite the tourist.
