First Solids

M continues to refuse taking a bottle, so when I'm at work she doesn't eat for about 10 hours. I think my jobshare partner is at her wits end with trying to keep her happy. We decided to give M solids a bit earlier than we had anticipated. She seemed open to rice cereal mixed with breast milk. She wasn't overly excited, but she seemed determined to use the spoon herself. Hopefully today she'll be a little happier with something in her belly. Anyone out there have a stubborn child when it comes to taking a bottle? Suggestions?

wow! M, that is quite the hold-out power. I've always heard that if they won't take a bottle, just wait til they are hungry enough and they will! that said, my day care woman said she once had a baby who wouldn't take milk from a bottle @ 7 or 8 months and so she used to give it to her in a sippy cup. maybe worth a try? good luck!!

I have no tips, but I just have to say how much I see your mother in M's face! Adorable:)
