Cancun Christmas

It's been awhile since we've seen our kids' knees and toes other than in the bath.  It also seems like M likes them being out in the open, warm air as well!
The humidity really made M's hair boing!  Look at all those curls!
J was not a fan of the water initially.  You can see here that he doesn't even want his toes wet.  He got somewhat more adventurous.
M definitely seems to be more the water baby of the two.

Splashing!
Here is M in the ocean for the first time.  J only got a rouge wave on him.  He was not ready to go swimming in the ocean.  In his defense, the waves were quite large.
Here we go!

One of J's favorite activities was playing in the sand.  He could have done it for hours.  Maybe we need a sandbox next summer.
We had amazing sunrises from the balcony of our room.
J loved sampling all the juice boxes from Mexico.  Any orange fruit was his favorite.  This was a real treat for him since we don't drink juice at home unless he's sick.  Even then it's diluted juice never from a box.
Another favorite activity of J's was iguana and gecko hunting.  We saw lots!
J is burying grandpa in the sand and M is hanging out in the tent.

We took one day and went on a bus tour to Chichen Itza.  Here are some of the remains we saw from an ancient Maya city.
Grandpa's artistic talent of making fun shaped pancakes.  He's working on a tractor in this picture.
Smiley girl!
Who needs food when you have delicious toes!

Hanging out with Uncle Dan!
We love the beach!

Instead of getting everyone presents this year we drew names once in Mexico and each filled someone's stocking.

J's new interest is pirates and pirate ships.
M checking out the items in her sock.  She loved the bowl and plate.  She's very into things that aren't toys.
