211 miles

We're still at it. Today we arrived in Thunder Bay. We're staying at a hostel on a college campus and have excellent internet access through a little kiosk in one of the university buildings. I love being connected. Our ride today was the toughest yet. We started off in Grand Portage and only 2 or so miles down the road tackled Mount Josephine. We trucked along at about 5 mph up it for 1.6 miles and then cruised down the other side for a little more than 2 miles. It was a challenge for sure. We also endured rain, more BIG hills, rain, wind to our faces, and really chilly temperatures. I really didn't anticipate how cold it's been. Dylan checked the weather for the next for days in the areas we're going to be in and it's forecasted lows in the 40's and highs in the 50's. Burr! We had two visitors on the trek today. One was a guy riding a full supspension mountain bike pulling a two wheel cart he was using as a behind trailer. I couldn't imagine doing that. I though we were crazy, but clearly he is. I also was greeted by a cow moose on the side of the road.

One thing we've discovered:
We're willing to pay for camping to have the luxury of a picnic table. It sure beats sitting on the ground after 50 or so miles of biking.

Check out the map above to get an idea of where we've been and where we're headed. If you click on it you'll get a more detailed view.

I love that you're keeping us updated! Apparently it just takes a big bike trip to get you in the blogging mood :)
