Alaska Hot

Today it got up to 73, which is very warm for us here Alaskans. There's something about weather in AK that's different from other places. 73 seems downright hot. At M's school they had a water day today. She was so excited because she got to bring her swimsuit and when I picked her up they were running through sprinklers and there were hoses down the slide. She had a ball. J today ran in his first race of sorts. Our school had a FUNdraiser Jog-a-thon where we raised over $6000--a big thanks to many of the readers checking this blog out. J met his goal of running 11 laps. We figure it was around 3 miles. He ran for 40 minutes. Not too shabby for a 7 year old.

When we got home our neighbors/renters were planting seedlings.  J and M helped.
