First Hike of the Year

Friends of ours from Anchorage who used to live in D'ham were down on the Kenai Peninsula for some Memorial Weekend fun.  Today we went on the Fuller Lake trail.  Their son and J are both 3.  J loved hiking.  He took a few falls on some tree roots, but he got used to it.  He would hold my hand when we were walking only if he thought he was helping me walk.

So J started off walking.
Then rode in the Chariot for a while.
Back to hiking...

Our friends
Back to the Chariot and a nice family pic!
M rode in the Chariot the whole time.  She only had a few complaints toward the end.
Out again...
Then finally he finished off the hike in the backpack.
D is a beast!
I know I'm the slacker when it comes to hiking.  Our friends joked that it was my turn to push.  I said I pushed them out during labor.  It's still D's turn!

Here we are arriving back to the parking area.

What fun! I think the kids may need to start calling their dad "Super Dad" he seems a bit like Super Man in some of those pictures. :) Enjoy summer! We are done JUne 6.
