M had a 12 hour bug starting Tuesday night. I guess we couldn't end the school year without one more day of drama. My jobshare partner and I had planned on both being at school the last day. Instead I got there at about 11:00 after D put in half a day. Parents do some impressive juggling acts sometimes. At any rate, I got to see my students off for the summer and D was able to meet with his kids as well. Whew. M is all better and I have some big news to share on the job front. It turns out that a position was open at school and my jobshare partner and I decided that now, for many reasons, would be a good time to go back to work full time. Today it was announced and we'll both be teaching together next year. It sounds like I'll have second and she'll likely have a second/third combo. It'll definitely be an adjustment for our family. I imagine they'll be a lot more days to juggle, but I'm excited to have my own room again and get to work with my jobshare partner in a different way teaching full time. I can't believe it's already been four years of working part time. Seriously, where does the time go?!?
D is building the kids a sandbox! They're super pumped!
J isn't a fan of loud noises.
M doesn't mind noise and is right up there with all the action.

Wow! Big news! That is just awesome that you were able to have that arrangement for four yrs, and now how perfect that a job opened up when the timing was right!
